Book of Destiny presents players with a different take on the Egyptian theme, with the titular book taking centre-stage for most of the slot. The base game doesn’t see much action here, although Book of Destiny makes up for it with an incredible set of special features that are all worked into the Free Spins bonus.

Book of Destiny Features
As we previously mentioned, Book of Destiny banks on its free spins and special features, leaving very little to be enjoyed in the base game itself. But, once you manage o get into the bonus rounds, you’ll be treated to a series of fantastic mechanics that build on one another to create a sense of progression.
Wild Symbol
As the only feature that is present in the base game, Wild symbols will be the tokens you’ll want to look out for. Not only do these golden scarab books step in for any paying symbols that can complete a winning combination, but they also serve as the slot’s Scatter symbols. Land 3 of them and the way into Free Spins will be open.
Choose Your Destiny
Before you can head to the bonus rounds section, you’ll need to surpass the Choose Your Destiny feature. Here, you can choose to turn any paying symbol of your choice into a Special Expanding Symbol. Once your symbol has been chosen, you’ll be teleported straight to the Destiny Gamble function.
Destiny Gamble
Here, you’ll be able to take a chance on the Destiny Gamble Wheel and try to improve your Special Expanding Symbol count. The wheel offers a 50% chance of landing on a white tile, allowing you to pick another Special Expanding Symbol. On the other hand, landing on the black tile will take away 1 Special Expanding Symbol. The feature can be ended at your leisure, although it maxes out when you manage to get 3 Special Expanding Symbols. Losing all of the symbols will put an end to the feature.
Book of Destiny Free Spins and Bonus
Players kick off the bonus rounds with 10 Free Spins. The aim here is to land wins using the Special Expanding Symbols to trigger said expanding feature. Upon landing such a win, the respective symbols will expand, covering their entire reel and allowing for even bigger wins. Re-triggering free spins will give you another 10 Free Spins and allow you to choose another Special Expanding Symbol. The main goal would be to turn all paying symbols in this way, opening the way to the slot’s grand 10,823x maximum win.
If you find the triggering of free spins quite daunting, you can opt for one of two Buy features. The Scatter Boost asks for a 50% extra bet and will make sure you receive more Scatter symbols. The Bonus Buy, on the other hand, asks for 75x your current bet and will take you immediately into Free Spins. Bonus Buy also increases your RTP to 96.72%.

Book of Destiny takes an interesting approach with its theme. Sure, we’ve seen pretty much all there is to be explored within the ancient Egyptian theme, but somehow this high-quality presentation manages to make it all feel fresh and exciting once again. It may not dazzle in terms of animations, but the high-quality designs and atmospheric soundtrack come together to create an engaging experience.
Book of Destiny RTP & Volatility
Book of Destiny’s RTP stands at a decent value of 96.5%, although triggering the Bonus Buy feature will take it up to 96.72%. Additionally, the slot’s volatility falls somewhere between the medium and high settings.
This setup makes for a balanced game that isn’t too demanding but also doesn’t simply give away its precious wins.
