Well, the slot theme becomes very clear once you boot up the game. It is based in a medieval-like disco, with some grooving knights pulling some of their favourite moves on the castle dancefloor. With such a unique aesthetic, it can be hard to pull something like this off without the right graphics. However, Relax Gaming never fails when it comes to their graphics, and this game is certainly no different. All the characters have excellent designs, with their 3D models honestly looking stunning when placed next to the top notch-graphics. It is a brightly coloured game as well, and you’ll notice that when you see the symbols and all of the bright disco lights.

However, beautiful graphics and stunning visuals that are this good can come at a cost. If your PC or desktop is not up to par, your device may struggle when running this game. It is almost too high performing at times, and we found some smaller devices can struggle to keep the game afloat.

There is a lot going on in Groovy Knights Dream Drop, particularly when you take into account all of those multiplier features, and the big time jackpot bonus game. However, there are no free spins rounds, and the winnings are generally capped at around 10,000x (apart from the jackpots).
This is also a medium variance slot game. Because the volatility of this game is medium, this means you will win at a decent amount when playing this game. The wins you will get will be down the middle as well, they will not be too small, or too large, on average.
One weakness we cannot ignore about this game is the RTP. Considering the game is medium volatility, we expected the Return to Player to be a little higher. However, we were disappointed to learn that the RTP is only 94%. This is 2% below the industry standard, which is 96%.
In today’s day and age, there are even high volatility games that manage to hit the 96% standard, so we feel there is no excuse for Groovy Knights Dream Drop. Granted, we understand having such a high jackpot might skew that amount, but we still feel the RTP should be improved drastically for the player.

If Relax Gaming were aiming to make a great jackpot game, they succeeded.
However, there is a lot left to be desired with some aspects of the game. For one, the RTP is far too low for our liking, especially for a medium volatility game like this. Whilst the graphics are amazing, they are almost too much for some devices, which can cause some technical issues. We also feel the lack of a free spins bonus makes the game feel a little empty somehow, despite the jackpot feature. Groovy Knights Dream Drop is lacking a lot.
