Miami Rise Demo: Head to The Magic City in Red Tiger’s Memorable Slot Release
Miami certainly has a favourable perception amongst many people outside of America, and it is synonymous with a few familiar stereotypes. Hot weather, the sun beating down on you, with palm trees in the background and bright, neon lights that are a signature of the cities nightlife. This ‘Miami Vice’ aesthetic is perfectly captured in the Miami Rise slot, which was released in June 2025 by Red Tiger. Red Tiger is known for being very visually pleasing with their slot games, but this release offers more and delivers when it comes to substance, too. It offers a max. win of 23,002x, which is huge, and also has a plethora of different features for a player to enjoy.
Miami Rise Slot Features
Let’s break down some of these memorable features, and explain that they are more than just a flash in the pan.
Cash, and Cash Hit Symbols
The more you play this game, especially if you try out the Miami Rise demo, you will find there are a lot of creative and unique symbols. One of the best symbols you can come across in Miami Rise are the Cash, and Cash Hit symbols. The cash symbols do exactly what they say they do: they hold a cash prize that comes to 0.5x, to 5x the bet.
The amount you get is completely randomised, and you only need one of these symbols to get the cash reward. The cash hit symbols work similarly, with the major difference being the amount they offer. The Cash Hit symbols offer a player either a Small 5x, a Big Hit 15x, Huge Hit 50x and Mega Hit 1,000x. Those are some huge cash prizes, and only one great example of a memorable Miami Rise bonus that can be won.
The Kingpin
The Kingpin symbol will only land somewhere on the rightmost reel. Each time you hit a Kingpin, you will gain +1 reputation, and it also collects all the Cash and Hit symbols. The Kingpin symbol is essentially to the ranking system, which we will explain in the next section.
The Ranks
Miami Rise is a unique slot game, in that it has a ranking system. There are three ranks you can progress to, and in order to progress up the ranks, you need to collect the Kingpin with the Cash and Hit symbols. Every time you do this, your ‘reputation’ bar goes +1. To get to rank 1, 2 or 3, you need 30, 50 and 70 reputation points, respectively. Each rank gets you:
- Rank 1: The Kingpin becomes a sticky symbol, and remains on the board for two more spins. Every time you hit a Cash and Hit symbol, you reset that counter
- Rank 2: Each time you get a new Cash and Hit symbol, your multiplier amount goes up by +1. This multiplier is applied to the next time you hit a Cash and Hit.
- Rank 3: Adds a Cash Hit scatter bonus, and also increases the value of each Cash and Hit. The values become Small 10x, Big Hit 25x, Huge Hit 100x and Mega Hit 1,000x.
This whole ranking system is a gamechanger, and really adds whole new layers to the gameplay. We really enjoyed this unique touch, and it is unlike many slots – certainly a world away from the simple mechanics of classic slots.
Miami Rise Free Spins and Bonuses
To activate the free spins bonus game, you need to hit 3 or more regular scatter symbols. 3 scatters will award you 10 free spins, and for each respective scatter symbol you score in that initial spin will award you an extra 10 free spins.
An important note to make is that your reputation points from the base game will carry over to the free spins round, which means you can enjoy the benefits of your rank in the free spins round as well.
So, if you are Rank 3, you can trigger the Cash Hit spins, but you also get an extra 5 free spins, as well as upgrading the entire round to a Cash Hit scatter round. Of course, the free spins are extremely valuable the higher up the ranks you go, but they are still valuable if you are not a high ranking yet.
You will get access to regular multipliers, and the Kingpin will still collect all your Cash and Hit symbols at a 2x multiplier. This game is an excellent example of implementing the core goal of a game into the bonus game, so that it fits perfectly.
Miami Rise Theme and Symbols

The Miami Rise theme is very much centred around the classic, vintage feel of Miami. The term Miami Vice is often thrown around in accordance with classic Miami pop culture, but we feel Miami Rise really captures the feel of what that TV show accomplished better than any other slot game out there right now.
The palm trees, the neon signs and symbols and all the figures, in their brightly coloured suits, slicked back hair and sunglasses, really immerses you in that 70s/80s Miami world. It’s completely immersive, and it definitely helps that the animations for this game are top of the pops. The background being a neon hued view of Miami city, accompanied by palm trees and flashy sports cars, is just perfect.
The symbols are very in line with what the game is trying to accomplish. Some of the high scoring symbols include a model, a Rolex, diamonds and a whisky/cigar combo. You also have the titular Miami Rise character representing the Kingpin symbol, some Palm Trees representing the Wild symbol and a backdrop of the city representing the Scatter symbol. There are also classic card symbols and numbers to represent the low scoring symbols, all laden with the same neon font.
This game does a phenomenal job capturing the feel of old school, nightlife Miami, and the animations are just second to none.
Miami Rise RTP and Volatility
There are a lot of different features available in Miami Rise, and also a whole ranking system dependent on getting cash prizes. With all of these elements in play, these all play a big factor in this game being a high volatility game.
Because Miami Rise has high volatility, this means you are less likely to win often by playing this game. But, when you do win in Miami Rise, the wins will generally be on the larger side. There is no doubt that this game has such high volatility when you consider all the elements that go into it.
But, what takes us by surprise is the RTP. Now, a high volatility game normally does not have a great Return to Player, but we expect a game to meet the industry standard. The current RTP for Miami Rise is currently 95.7%, which is below the industry standard of 96%.
We know this is a very volatile game, but we are disappointed the RTP is so low; it may be a better call to play the Miami Rise demo free play, and enjoy all the features of this game risk free before considering risking real funds.
How to Play Miami Rise
Miami Rise is developed by Red Tiger, and and they are renowned for graphics that have remarkable attention to detail. This means they try to avoid any unnecessary buttons or controls that are simply not needed, and get in the way of the overall experience of playing the game. For this reason, we would recommend all players to try out the Miami Rise demo – it gives you a feel for how the game plays.
The controls for Miami Rise are very simple and can be found at the bottom of the screen. On the left hand side, you have your bet amount, which you can adjust with the + or – either side of your bet amount. You also have an auto button beside the bet amount. On the right hand side, you have the bet button. It is that simple, and we appreciate that Red Tiger focuses on that simplicity when it comes to gameplay. You can also track your reputation across the top of the screen, where it will also inform you of what rank you are at in the process.
High rollers will likely not be impressed by the stake limits – you can wager between €0.10 and €4 a go.
Slotsia’s Review of Miami Rise
Honestly, Miami Rise is a very ambitious, and very fun slot game, that cannot escape some of the flaws of its ambition. What we mean by this, is that it lives up to what it wants to achieve. The visuals are amazing, some of the best graphics we have seen in a while. It is full of some of the best features you will ever see, which are creative and unlike anything you have ever seen, and has a valuable free spins feature available to the player.
However, in practice with real money on the line, this game is tough. The volatility is extremely high, which ultimately affects the RTP, which is quite a bit below the industry standard unfortunately. This is the only major flaw this game has, but it is one that is difficult to overlook, as it makes the game itself far more difficult. If you want to have a risk free, fun experience trying out all the features this game provides, we would recommend playing the Miami Rise demo at the top of this review.
