Floating Dragon Slot
Pragmatic Play’s Hold and Spin series has gained quite the following with each consecutive title, establishing its very own niche genre. Players know exactly what to expect whenever a new title is released, but with Floating Dragon the provider has decided to change things up a bit.
But will the changes put in place innovate the series, or is it the case of trying to fix something that isn’t quite broken? Read our full review below to find out.

Floating Dragon Features
Apart from the theme, the biggest departure from previous Hold and Spin titles lies with Floating Dragon’s features. This time round, Scatter symbols have made their way onto the reels and with them a Free Spins mode.
Hold and Spin
Gold coin symbols hold the key to unlocking the free spins feature. These precious tokens only land on the middle reel, offering a random multiplier of anything between 1x to 20x whenever they land. But you’ll need 3 of them stacked on top of each other to activate Hold and Spin.
When this happens, the triggering symbols are locked into their respective places while the rest of the symbols are cleared. Players are offering 3 re-spins, wherein only gold coins may land on the reels. Landing a new gold coin will reset the re-spin counter and add to your total win. Additionally, existing gold coins will continue to contribute with every new symbol that lands.
Apart from the gold coins, players also have the chance of landing diamond symbols. These special symbols offer a jackpot of sorts that rewards players with a value of between x100 to x5,000. Hold and Spin guarantees players a minimum win of x20 and if that level isn’t reached, the game offers 3 complimentary re-spins to make up for it. The feature ends when players either run out of free spins or successfully cover the reels in gold coins.
Floating Dragon Free Spins and Bonus
Perhaps the most significant addition in Floating Dragon is the Free Spins bonus. Unlocked with a minimum of 3 Scatter symbols (although additional Scatters do land you more bonus spins), players are awarded 10 free spins to play to their heart’s content.
The bonus section also includes fish symbols that carry their own multiplier and a Wild symbol that collects them. Whenever the wild symbol collects 4 fish symbols, it awards an additional 10 free spins and upgrades the fish symbol multiplier which initially starts at x2 but can upgrade to x3 and x10.
Floating Dragon Theme and Symbols
Floating Dragon decides to change the slot’s environment, doing away with he classic fruit slot theme that has been seen on other Hold and Spin titles and choosing to immerse us in an Asian theme instead. The change works quite well, giving the slot a fresher look thanks to its high quality visuals and animations.
Floating Dragon RTP & Volatility
This time around, players are treated to a generous return to player rate of 96.71%. Combined with the medium to high level of volatility, this means that high wins are quite possible but not without going through a few unrewarding spins first.
How to Play Floating Dragon
Playing Floating Dragon is a pretty straightforward ordeal. The action plays out on a standard 5 reels and 3 rows that offer 10 betways to win from. Players will need to stipulate their choice of bet and then simply click on the spin button to enjoy the game. An autoplay feature is also included for an even simpler experience.
